The Committee aims to develop and facilitate solutions to Calgary's land use and transportation growth challenges and optimize the strategic value of Calgary's airport and transportation mobility corridors (e.g. Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative), further developing the city as a distribution and logistics hub.
- Address issues in the transportation & logistics sector for the City of Calgary.
- Regional planning.
- Ring road and other Network Infrastructure Deficits.
- Parking issues.
- Open skies.
- Security, efficiency, and access of Calgary's Airport.
- Airport rents.
- Optimizing transportation corridors (e.g. Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative).
- Further development of Calgary and region as a distribution and logistics hub.
- Public awareness and the creation of a positive industry image.
- Promotion of:
o Career Fairs.
o Business After Hours.
o Speakers.
o Golf Tournament & Scholarship fundraising event.
o Women in Logistics events.
o Mount Royal University Supply Chain Management events.
o University of Calgary Logistics Events (Van Horne Institute).
o SAIT Polytechnic Warehousing and Distribution Program.
