Businesses require the right conditions to flourish with a competitive tax system and an efficient and stable regulatory system. They want barriers to trade removed and productivity enhanced (using resources, from equipment to raw materials and people, more effectively) to expand their markets and create new jobs.
The Chamber also recognizes the importance of the oil and gas industry to the Alberta’s economic prosperity. With half of the provincial economy directly or indirectly associated with this sector, it impacts all businesses, from the driller to the dry cleaner.
We are focused on economic competitiveness to position Calgary as 'the' premier destination for investment and global talent.
