Alberta’s economic health is dependent on the ability to export. In 2010, Alberta exported $77.8 billion worth of goods.
In 2007, the province’s key exports were imported by 192 countries around the world. Alberta's largest client however, remains the United States. In 2010, 87 per cent of Alberta’s exports were to the United States. Of the remainder, 61 per cent went to Asia.
Elimination of international and interprovincial trade barriers are paramount to Alberta’s future growth and prosperity.
