Play with the Presidents - Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship Opportunities

Proceeds from this golf tournament further the development of the Chamber’s many programs and events which support business, education, advocacy and mentorship. Half of the proceeds from the online auction will also support local charities. The success of the tournament is not possible without our loyal member participation – as golfers, Presidents, foursomes and sponsors. We value your sponsorship and will work with you to ensure you receive good value from your support of this event.

For further information, or to arrange your sponsorship, please contact Kim Koss at kkoss@calgarychamber.com or phone (403) 750-0411. If you are interested in a smaller sponsorship or donation, please scroll down to see the options, or contact Craig Watt at cwatt@calgarychamber.com or (403) 750-0422.

·        Hole sponsors are required to provide a prize valued at a minimum of $20,000 (cash or product) for the first successful golfer to obtain a Hole in One on the designated hole. In practical terms, this means that the Hole Sponsor, in addition to the $1000 sponsorship fee, will also purchase the insurance that covers the prize. In most cases, the insurance will cost in the $500 range. The Chamber can assist in identifying suppliers of that insurance at the sponsor’s request.

SMALLER SPONSORSHIPS

There are options available for smaller companies or donors to increase their profile through a small sponsorship or donation. Options include:

Food and Beverage Holes. If you are a purveyer of food or beverage, we have a limited number of holes available at which you can offer samples of your products. There is no charge to participate, but you are responsible for all costs including product, tables, cooking equipment, any required utensils and napkins, etc. All food and beverage services must be approved by, and set up in conjunction with, Priddis Greens. Special limitations may apply if you plan to serve alcohol. Booths must stay open for the duration of the tournament (8 AM to approximately 1:30 PM).

Prizes. We will accept a limited number of prizes for both foursomes and individual golfers who win various aspects of the tournament. Prizes must be provided in quantities of one (1) for individual prizes; or four (4) for team prizes. Prizes should be of moderate value. We reserve the right to decline prizes of insufficient value or general interest.

Silent Auction. Items offered for silent auction should be valued at no less than $50, and prizes of $100 to $250 or more tend to sell better. The best items are unique, hard to buy, or intriguing. We reserve the right to decline items that are of insufficient value or insufficient general appeal.

Live Auction. Our live auction features five items only, and they must be of significant value. Typically, a successful live auction item is something (often an "experience") that you cannot buy; or features the participation of a celebrity or an expert that you might not otherwise meet. Please call and discuss with Craig if you have an idea, as we strictly limit the length of the auction.
