Salute to Excellence Gala

The 2010 Salute to Excellence, with its Prohibition Speakeasy theme, was both a critical and financial success. Above, new Chair J.R. Simon Vincent receives the gavel of office from Lt. Gov. Norman L. Kwong, on the Cotton Club stage.

500 guests enjoyed the music of Katie Shane and the Cotton Clubbers, and an extraordinary tapdance display by Decidedly Jazz's Josh Hilberman. The Chamber also welcomed special guests Hon. Jim Prentice (federal Minister of the Environment), Hon. Ron Liepert (Minister of Energy), Hon. Alison Redford (Minister of Justice), Hon. Lindsay Blackett (Minister of Culture), Hon. Jonathan Denis (Minister of Housing) and Hon. Cindy Ady (Minister of Tourism).
