Government relations for a small business
Knowing how to influence government decisions on issues that affect your business can be difficult, particularly if you lack the resources and expertise to run a costly government relations campaign. But there are ways to get gears of government moving in your favour that don’t cost a bundle.
Speaking to the Calgary Chamber on May 31, Jason Hatcher, a partner with the boutique government relations firm Spotlight Strategies, offered tips on how to get government to act on your concerns as a business. Hatcher was the second speaker in the Member Expert series, a new members only program designed to give Chamber members the opportunity to share their know-how with other members so they can use that expertise to grow and improve their business.
