New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is well known for his passionate, straight-forward personality, and is recognized world-wide for his leadership of New Jersey through Hurricane Sandy, one of the most severe natural disasters in America’s history.

Join us for an address from one of the United States’ most prominent politicians during his first official trip to Canada. In the keynote address of his trip, Governor Christie will discuss energy, trade issues, job creation, and the New Jersey-Canada partnership.

Governor Christie will continue to put a focus on strengthened relationships on the North American continent, including North America as a “first thought, not an afterthought” of American foreign policy, and working together to leverage resources to secure a North American Energy Renaissance.

About Governor Chris Christie

Chris Christie was sworn in as Governor of New Jersey on January 19, 2010, and re-elected to a second term on November 5, 2013.

He has strived for fiscal integrity and accountability to state and local government; worked to lower New Jersey’s property taxes; and made public education a priority.

Since Superstorm Sandy struck in 2012, the Christie administration has launched dozens of programs and services to put displaced New Jerseyans back in their homes; reopen businesses damaged or destroyed by Sandy; and repair and improve infrastructure to withstand future storms.
