Founder and CEO of DIRTT Environmental Solutions

Smed has been called one of the Top 100 Entrepreneurs of the Century by Alberta Venture magazine. As CEO and founder of DIRTT Environmental Solutions, Smed is one of the industry leaders in manufacturing modular movable interior walls, floors, doors and accessories.

Lori Stewart

COO of eThor and Founder of Awesome Foundation Calgary

Stewart is the COO for eThor, a Calgary tech startup which earlier this year won the title “The Most Innovative Startup on the Planet” at the renowned Global Technology Symposium in Silicon Valley. This year, eThor also beat out other Alberta companies to win the AccelerateAB pitch competition and an award for “Best Presenting Company” at the Banff Venture Forum. Last year Stewart founded the Awesome Foundation in Calgary to fund projects that help make our city awesome.

Michael Sikorsky

CEO Robots and Pencils

Sikorsky has been called an “Internet Revolutionary” by Profit magazine, and a “CEO to watch” by CNN Money. He is currently the CEO of one of Canada’s top app developers, Robots & Pencils. Most recently, Sikorsky has developed the much talked-about Spy-vs-Spy app, which hit #1 selling app in itunes stores shortly after hitting the market.

Darlene Fedyna

President and Founder of Gymtastics Play-it-Forward Projects

Fedyna is a community leader who recently started a program called Gymnastics Play-It-Forward dedicated to enhancing the lives of children throughout the world facing barriers that prevent them from participating in active sport. To date, the program has help teachers and children in Tanzania, South Africa, and Peru.

Ann Lewis-Luppino

President & CEO Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra

Ann will be talking about the importance of business supporting arts and culture in our community, and what a difference this can make. The CPO, with the leadership support of TransCanada and Cenovus, has recently partnered to produce a new symphony (the largest commission in the Orchestra’s history) to commemorate the end of Canada’s combat mission in Afghanistan and honour our returning and fallen soldiers; Afghanistan: Requiem for a Generation is part of the CPO’s larger October 29 to November 16 War & Peace Music Festival.

Members of the CPO will play selections from the War & Peace Music Festival as a sneak-peak of the music.
