Ambassadors

A Chamber Ambassador is a pretigious volunteer that assists the Chamber at events, acts as a Ambassador to new members and offers support to Chamber staff to help build Chamber membership. A volunteer committee whose mandate is to help the Chamber promote and enhance the experience of being a member of the Calgary Chamber of Commerce:

1. Adding value and stature to being a member of the Chamber of Commerce;
2. Reiterating to existing members these and other benefits;
3. Mentoring new members to help integrate them into the Chamber; and
4. Introducing attendees to other members in a networking environment.

The main focus of the Ambassador Committee is to welcome and educate new members into the Chamber, and re-educate existing members in order that they can again begin to realize the benefit of their membership, which they may have lost focus of since becoming a member.

To be an Ambassador, you must be a Chamber member in good standing, attend Ambassador committee meetings on a regular basis, volunteer for an average of at least one function per month and commit to be an Ambassador for at least one year. In exchange you will receive exposure in the business community, reduced rates at Chamber events, access to major Chamber events (while acting as an Ambassador) and effective networking to promote your own business and products.
