Workforce and Immigration

Alberta is in the midst of a labour shortage. By 2019 the province is expected to experience a shortfall of 114,000 workers. To help address this need, business needs to turn to overlooked pools of labour such as Aboriginal peoples and mature works. In addition to this, policy changes are needed to better harness the skills of new immigrants and temporary foreign workers.
