In the last couple months alone, Canada’s energy industry has seen massive changes—OPEC’s deal to cut output production, a rise in oil prices, two pipelines approved, our largest trading partner electing Trump as President, plus the implementation of a new carbon tax. Each of these has the potential to seriously impact Canadian producers. So what does it all mean?

In the first edition of our Energy Future series of the year, we've brought together two of the very best energy experts on earth to lead an energy market outlook for 2017: Eurasia Group CEO Dr. Robert (RJ) Johnston, and Chief Energy Economist and Managing Director at ARC Financial Corp, Peter Tertzakian.

They will unpack the geopolitical and economic impacts, as well as the risks and opportunities sector changes may bring to Canada's industries, within energy and beyond.

About Dr. Robert Johnston

Robert (“RJ”) Johnston is the CEO of Eurasia Group. He is also the director of the company’s Global Energy and Natural Resources Strategy Group. Prior to joining Eurasia Group, RJ was a managing director of equity research at Medley Global Advisors.
