Small Business Week Award Finalists
August 16, 2019
On Thursday afternoon, the Chamber was made aware of an issue relating to the announcement of finalists for the upcoming Calgary Small Business Awards. Due to an administrative human error, a number of applicants were incorrectly informed that they were finalists for the awards they had applied for. The Chamber has made efforts to reach out to those affected by this error in order to clarify the situation.
We would like to sincerely apologize for the confusion and distress this mistake has caused. The Calgary Small Business Awards are an opportunity for Calgary’s business community to recognize all of the hard work your businesses do – not just for their clients, but for Calgary as a whole. To have that recognition taken from you is unacceptable and we will do better in the future.
To those businesses that are not finalists this year, please understand that your hard work and dedication to our city do not go unnoticed. We are as proud of your accomplishments as you are in how your business and staff continue to drive Calgary’s economy forward and make this city a better place for all of us.
For those of you who are finalists, we look forward to honouring your achievements and commitment to Calgary at our Gala on October 25.
We at the Chamber have always tried to act with our business community’s best interests at heart, and we will continue our purpose to nourish, power and inspire the business community in Calgary. Business has built this city and made it an incredible place to live and work. Our job now is to build businesses that thrive, so our community can thrive.
If you have any questions or concerns about Small Business Week or the awards, I ask that you to reach out to myself or a member of our Chamber team.
Thank you for your continued support of the Calgary Chamber,
President & CEO
