Today’s news that Encana has decided to establish corporate domicile in the United States is very difficult for our city. It is also an important reminder that Canada’s biggest customer is also our biggest competitor in the energy space, and that we are being out-competed.
“There is an urgent need for powerful ‘AND’ conversations that lead to solutions, which allow us to compete and diversify our markets, while also contributing to the global fight against climate change. It is our hope that today’s news will serve to help push these conversations forward into meaningful action.”
